Anyone know how to make the wing go back down again? I hit the button and it's stuck like this.

Hit it with a really big hammer.

Pushing the button again didn't work?

Push really hard in a downward direction.*

Nope, it clicks and nothing happens. I even tried doing it while moving, and it didn't work.

This happens on the Boxster too sometimes. Do it while driving and it should work.

Sit on it? Drive below the speed limit? Initiate takeoff sequence? Sit on it?

Ask it politely.

I tried that, i may have just been moving too slowly.

go really fast (enough where it's supposed to go up on it's own)
then slow down
if it doesn't go down after you've been going slow enough for awhile
press the button

Have you tried turning it off then back on again?

I'll let them know at the front desk, I don't think I'm allowed to take it up to 60 MPH in the parking lot here. Thanks man.

Is it plugged in correctly?

Did you plug it in?

So wing problems on a Jag and Porsche. But my 11 year old Chrysler has never had problems with it ……

Trade it in on something German. ;-)

I actually did the Jag booth at the auto show and I had three of these, but they never did that! Like Brian said, I would get above 65mph, Boxster does that too.

Maybe it's still just excited from its drive. I've heard if your spoiler stays erect for more than 4 hours you should see a doctor.

I don't know if this helps but I found it in a Jag forum. Maybe accessory mode is the trick:
http://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f-type-7…
The button is there so that the spoiler can be raised and lowered for cleaning purposes. Put your car in accessory mode (press start button without your foot on the brake pedal) and the manual spoiler raise/lower button will work.

If that doesn't work then I'm not sure how Jaguars work.

Pull the battery.

I think it doesn't respond well in the cold.

For the sake of your continued employment tell someone, like the service manager or whoever your supervisor is, when something breaks whether it's your fault or not. You did nothing wrong here, but don't force it if you can't figure it out. And if you don't tell someone they may think you broke it and were trying to cover it up. I'm not trying to scare you, just show how stupid dealership politics and policies can be. It's okay if you're not sure how it works, there are people for that.

The guy who's going to be washing it tomorrow is going to handle it. I'm sure that the service guys have seen it happen before. They most likely won't reprimand anybody for a problem like this. I mean, I could've just bumped the button while cleaning the center console.

That's a 'feature'. Every car is cooler with a wing. Why hide it? Thanks Jaguar.
